Whitlingham Broad Campsite is situated right in the heart of Whitlingham Country Park, just 2 and a half miles from the historic Norwich City Centre. We are easily accessible to the world-famous Norfolk Broads where you can hire a boat for the day and within minutes from the site, you will find canoe hire, picnic areas and beautiful countryside walks. Whether you are the adventurous type or just want to relax we have it all here at Whitlingham Broad Campsite.

We have a range of accommodation options from simple camping with non-electric pitches, suitable for tents, campervans and trailer tents to bell tents, delightful shepherds’ huts, a yurt, converted goods wagons, and woodland dens. We have something to suit every type of camper!

Our large family friendly toilets, showers and washrooms also have an outside wash-up area. The onsite shop has snacks, phone charging and all the essentials you will need. We welcome well behaved dogs and a small fee is payable per night (see website for details).
To keep the children entertained, they will love our play area which is perfect for families to get together for some fun on the cargo net, wobbly logs or try out the slide. In the case of rainy days curl up with a good book or call in to reception where we have a selection of board games you can borrow.
We pride ourselves on helping the environment by only offering non-electric pitches and we have recycle points that we encourage our guests to use throughout their stay.

We are open all year round for bookings but please contact us for group booking information (3 or more). We have a two night minimum stay over weekends (Fri/Sat) in the peak season and three nights over Bank Holidays. Check in is between 2pm-7.30pm. Late check in may not always be possible, please enquire BEFORE booking.

There really is plenty to see and do on and off site so book you perfect holiday now.
We look forward to welcoming you to Whitlingham Broad Campsite very soon!

    How to Find us

    On Foot

We are on the long distance Wherrymans Way footpath and are situated about 35 minutes stroll from Norwich Train Station. Why not grab a train then get a bus, bike or piggyback to us & leave the car at home!

    By Road

From the A47 (Norwich Southern Bypass) exit signposted Norwich, Lowestoft, Trowse A146. At the traffic lights, at bottom of slip road, turn left and at the end of dual carriageway get in the right hand lane. From here on in follow brown signs to Ski Club and Country Park, this will mean a right turn at the roundabout, over the rail bridge and a left into Whitlingham Lane (just after the Trowse village sign). Follow Whitlingham Lane down past the Snowsports Club and into the Country Park. The campsite is accessed through the wooden gates opposite the Flint Barn visitor centre. Just park up on the gravel area and pop into reception to register. If using Sat Nav, the postcode for the Country Park is NR14 8TR, this will deliver you to the Flint Barn visitor centre, directly opposite the campsite. When putting this into your sat-nav please make sure it sends you to Whitlingham Lane, Trowse, not Whitlingham Lane, Thorpe. Thorpe is on the wrong side of the river and there is no road bridge!

    By Train

It's takes roughly 40 minutes to walk from the train station to the campsite or, alternatively, grab a bus from the station (though there's still a little walk involved). Check out the traveline website for a handy journey planner or a taxi should be about £7.00.
