Family Explorer Club – Owner and operator of the Family Explorer Club

Campsite owner – Owner or Provider of a Campsite or similar establishment

Holiday Park owner – Owner or Provider of a Holiday Park or similar establishment

Owner – phrase referring to either a Campsite or Holiday Park

Pitches – accommodation provided as described on our website by Campsite Owner or Holiday Park Owner

Reference to ‘Us’, ‘Our’ and ‘We’ refer to the Family Explorer Club

Reference to ‘You’, ‘Your’, ‘Guest’ or ‘Booker’ refers to you as a user of the website

General

  1. The Family Explorer Club is owned and operated by Us. The Family Explorer Club is a third-party intermediary acting on behalf of the owners of holiday parks, campsites and similar establishments advertised on the website. In all circumstances the contract of your booking is between You (the booker) and the Owner.
  2. To make a booking, You will be directed to the Campsite or Holiday Park’s website. The Family Explorer Club does not accept bookings direct and acts as an intermediary between You (the Booker) and the Owner (Campsite or Holiday Park Owner).
  3. By using and visiting this website you agree to all terms and conditions and our Privacy Policy – click here to view our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any of the Terms and Conditions, you must not use Our website.
  4. Owners will have their own terms and conditions and it is Your responsibility to check these terms and conditions directly with the Owner before making a booking.
  5. Family Explorer Club Accounts may only be created by adults age 18 years and over. Purchases and Bookings will only be accepted by adults of age 18 years and over and by a person who has authority to make a booking.
  6. You understand when making a booking that We have not conducted any form of audit, including but not limited to quality and suitability of the Campsite/Holiday Park. We accept no liability should you find the site is not suited to Your needs once a booking has been made. The Family Explorer Club is under no obligation to provide a refund and this should be taken up with the Campsite/Holiday Park directly. You are responsible for doing your own research to check the quality and suitability for your needs before making a booking.
  7. We do not accept any form of responsibility or liability for any inaccuracies of pitches, facilities or services advertised by Campsites/Holiday Parks on our website. We will endeavour to ensure any inaccuracies of descriptions are rectified if brought to Our attention.
  8. The descriptions on all listings are provided by the Campsite/Holiday Park Owner and the Family Explorer Club is not responsible for any content, including but not limited to, availability, pricing, facilities and services. The Campsites/Holiday Parks are independent businesses and are in no way employed by the Family Explorer Club.
  9. We do not accept any responsibility for any breaches of contract or mis-representations of the Campsite/Holiday Park owners, and this should be taken up with them directly.
  10. The Family Explorer club accepts no liability whatsoever for the following:
    1. Death or personal injury (by either our or the campsite/holiday parks negligence
    2. Death or personal injury during your stay at the campsite/holiday park
    3. Fraudulent activity on our website
    4. Fraudulent mis-representation
    5. Cancellation of your booking by either yourself or the campsite/holiday park
    6. Loss or damage to you
    7. Any circumstance due to Force Majeure including but not limited to natural disaster, terrorism, national Pandemic or other causes that effect your ability to travel beyond the Family Explorer Club or the campsite/holiday park Owners control
  1. If any of the terms or conditions set by the Family Explorer Club are found to be illegal, the remainder of our terms are unaffected and remain in place.

Membership Terms & Payments

  1. Full payment is required at the time of purchasing a membership.
  2. Memberships can be purchased via the Family Explorer Club website or in person with a representative of the Family Explorer Club.
  3. Payments are accepted from debit cards and credit cards.
  4. Please note, any bookings made online will also be subject to the merchants terms and conditions.
  5. Once purchased, there is a cooling off period of 14 days in which you can cancel your membership and a refund will be provided, subject to not having benefited from any of the service/discounts within the membership.
  6. After the 14 day cooling off period, the membership remains active for 12 months (from the date of subscription).
  7. After the 14 day cooling off period, you will receive your welcome pack in the post. It is your responsibility to ensure you provide the correct postal address.
  8. The welcome pack consists of a membership card, valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, along with a welcome letter.
  9. Only the card holder may use the card to receive any of the benefits. If it is found that someone other than the card holder is using the card for personal gain, membership shall be revoked, and the Family Explorer Club is under no obligation to provide a refund for the remainder of the membership period.
  10. Your membership card along with a valid form of photographic ID will be requested on arrival at the Holiday Park/Campsite. If this cannot be provided, the Holiday Park/Campsite is under no obligation to allow you entry and/or provide a refund or date amendment. They may also request you pay the difference of the full price to gain entry.
  11. If the Holiday Park/Campsite offers additional discounts on goods and services during your stay, the above rules apply.
  12. The Family Explorer Club can refuse the right to offer a membership to anyone who does not adhere to all terms and conditions set out by either the Family Explorer Club and/or our partners/affiliations.

Membership renewal

  1. All memberships will be automatically renewed 14 days before the membership expiry date.
  2. The same card will be used in which payment was made on the prior year’s membership purchase.
  3. If you do not wish to renew your membership, cancellation requests must be made in writing by emailing info@familyexplorerclub.co.uk. The following details must be provided:
  • Full name
  • Postal address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Reason for cancellation (optional)
  1. Once your membership has renewed, you have a 14 day cooling off period in which you can cancel your membership and a full refund will be provided.
  2. After the 14 day cooling off period, the membership remains active for 12 months (from the date of subscription).
  3. After the 14 day cooling off period, you will receive your new welcome pack and membership card in the post. It is your responsibility to ensure you provide the correct postal address.
  4. You will be charged at the prevailing rate of a full priced membership.

Membership cancellation

  1. Once a membership has been purchased, there is a cooling off period of 14 days in which you can cancel your membership and a refund will be provided, subject to not having benefited from any of the service/discounts within the membership.
  2. After the 14 day cooling off period, the membership remains active for 12 months (from the date of subscription). Under no circumstances will a refund be provided after this date.
  3. If you still wish to cancel your membership outside of the 14 day cooling off period, please email info@familyexplorerclub.co.uk with the following details:
  • Full name
  • Postal address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Reason for cancellation (optional)

Insurance

  1. It is Your responsibility to take out adequate travel insurance either at the time of booking or before your holiday.

Holiday Park Owner and Campsite Owners Responsibilities

  1. Complaints regarding any services or facilities during your holiday should be raised directly with the Campsite or Holiday Park owner. The Family Explorer Club does not accept any form of liability for any complaints in relation to the campsite/holiday park/owner.

Guests/bookers responsibility

  1. The Family Explorer Club does not provide any form of transport or travel arrangements to and from your holiday and this is the responsibility of the booker.
  2. To ensure we have the correct contact details for You, it is Your responsibility to ensure the ‘My details’ section of the website is kept up to date within Your account.
  3. The Family Explorer Club will use personal details for marketing purposes, unless the guest/booker has opted out, however will not share with any third parties without the consent of the guest/booker.
  4. You agree that all the details provided are true and correct at the time of creating an account and making a booking.

Cancellations and Amendments

  1. To make any amends or cancellations You must contact the campsite/holiday park directly in the first instance to come to a resolution.
  2. If a booking is cancelled or amended by the guest/booker, the deposit or full amount may be forfeited.
  3. Please refer to each individual campsite/holiday parks terms and conditions for specific details.

Pets

  1. Please refer to the campsite/holiday parks individual pet policy.
  2. If pets are allowed, a surcharge may apply.
  3. It is the responsibility of the Guest/Booker to declare any pets on the booking.
  4. Any animals listed on the dangerous animals act shall not be permitted to any campsites/holiday parks listed on the Family Explorer Club website.

Complaints procedure

  1. In the event of a complaint, please contact the campsite/holiday park immediately so this can be acted upon by them and take appropriate action.
  2. If you have a complaint relating to the Family Explorer Club, please complete the contact us form on the website or alternatively please email info@familyexplorerclub.co.uk.

Literature and intellectual property rights

  1. All content found within the Family Explorer Club website is owned by either us (Family Explorer Club) or our partners. These intellectual property rights are reserved and may not be used by anyone without written consent from either the Family Explorer Club or our partners. Please email info@familyexplorerclub.co.uk should you have any queries in relation to intellectual property rights.
  2. Intellectual property rights are classed as, but not limited to, images, text, logo’s, layout, video’s and design.
  3. The Family Explorer Club is a registered trademark as therefore cannot be used explicitly without consent from the Family Explorer Club, this includes any form of representation, wording, symbols and associated logo’s.
  4. You may view and/or download content/images for caching purposes only and may be printed for personal use only.
  5. The Family Explorer Club may use hyper-links to other third party websites. The Family Explorer Club is not responsible for the material on their websites, nor do we monitor the content and we do not accept any liability in relation to these websites. The above applies with our partners/affiliations.
  6. The Family Explorer Club may amend any details of the website at any time without giving prior-warning to account holders/users.

Legal

  1. This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes and extinguishes all previous agreements, promises, assurances, warranties, representations and understandings between them, whether written or oral, relating to its subject matter.
  2. Each party agrees that it shall have no remedies in respect of any statement, representation, assurance or warranty (whether made innocently or negligently) that is not set out in this agreement. Each party agrees that it shall have no claim for innocent or negligent misrepresentation or negligent misstatement based on any statement in this framework agreement.
  3. This agreement and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
  4. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter or formation.
